Initial reports out Pays Pourri and Marozo, the mountain communities in Haiti where we work, are not good. Fortunately, there have been no deaths in that specific area (that we know of) attributed to Hurricane Matthew, but damage is extensive.
This is the church in Robia, where our team was in the process of finishing a large cistern when the hurricane hit. Obviously, the roof has been (mostly) torn off - which makes attaching the rain catchment system rather difficult ... and by difficult, I mean pointless.
Jesse is heading into the community on Wednesday to conduct an assessment (access is extremely difficult). Please send thoughts, love, and/or prayers ... people here need it!
